Gillette, Wyoming is located in the northeast corner of the state in Campbell County. Strategically seated between the Big Horn Mountains and the Black Hills, Gillette offers a wealth of opportunity for both business and recreation.
Dubbed "The Energy Capital" of the nation, Gillette and Campbell County supplies 10 percent of the United States' energy needs. That's more than Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Iraq and Nigeria, combined. Coal produces 50% of the nation's electricity, and 30% of that amount comes from Wyoming coal. Our energy contribution is a great source of pride for our community.
Gillette has a population of approximately 30,000, and our community continues to grow. Our elected officials have worked diligently to develop resources and infrastructure to accommodate our population increases now and in the future. In Gillette, we are always looking forward.

- A community recreation center which boasts, among other items; a 42 foot climbing wall, a six-lane lap pool, a three-meter diving platform, a zero-depth leisure pool including two water slides and a lazy river, three basketball courts, four racquetball courts, elevated walking track, and a myriad of adult and youth activity programs.
- Gillette College with its expanding curriculum and newly formed Gillette Pronghorns athletic teams.
- A state of the art Career Technical Education Center, which continues to develop a skilled workforce.
Campbell County School District oversees our public school system as well as the Virtual School for homeschooling options. We also have several private schools to choose from.

Parks and Recreation Department
The Rec Center has three basketball courts surrounded by a 1/7 mile walking/running track, a cardio room (with treadmills, Stairmasters, exercise bikes and elliptical machines), weight rooms, four racquetball courts, a squash court and a swimming pool with a diving board.
The new facility features many new amenities including a 42-foot climbing wall designed to resemble aspects of Devil's Tower Monument and will serves as the focal point of the spacious lobby to honor this national icon. The facility also include a six-lane lap pool, a three-meter diving platform, a zero-depth leisure pool including two water slides, a lazy river, and many toy features, three basketball courts, four racquetball courts, elevated walking track, kids zone used for baby-sitting, concessions, weight room, cardio area, three exercise rooms, two birthday party rooms, two tanning beds, training and locker rooms. The attached field house contains a 200 meter track and tennis facilities
Bell Nob consists of an 18 hole regulation Par 72 Championship Golf Course and a 9 hole Par 3 course. Purched on the top of a hill is a brand new club house completed in 2014.
The Gillette Aquatic Center features an Olympic-sized swimming pool for competition (including Wyoming's High School State competition) and swimming programs with the school district.
CCSD Science Center
A hands-on science center that provides adults and young people with an opportunity to have fun with science and furry creatures such as tarantulas and chinchillas!
A great place to spend time after school or in the summer months learning about astrology.
Ice Skating Rink
Offers ice skating lessons, dance classes and hosts the Men's Hockey League.
Spirit Hall Ice Arena is located in the east end of the Wyoming Center at the Cam-Plex. This arena is a full NHL size rink that offers a larger area for recreational skating, figure skating and hockey games. The rink offers a full service concession stand in the heated lobby which is open for all public skating sessions and sports a large heated viewing area for spectators. Rental skates are available for those who do not own skates. Public skating, birthday parties, and private rentals are available at Spirit Hall.
